like the title says I'm having some problems starting my car recently. And I don't really know what it is. At first I thought it was just the remote start not working properly but that's not it, because the car receives the signal (lights flash horn honks) and it turns over once but the stops. and when I tried to start it yesterday it only turned over but would not start?
does anyone have any idea as to what's going on?
any help that anyone can give me will be most appreciated
It could be your fuel pump, Check to make sure its getting spark.
OR try to false start the car a few times (turning the key as far as possible without turning it over). After doing that see if it will fire up easily. If it is that means its your Fuel Pump
also make sure the Remote start was wiried right, and it's a quality system
we've had many taurus's comein w/ remote starts having similar problem
the remote start is a quality install, it was working fine for 3-4 months it's only recently that it hasn't been working. it wouldn't start after work today, it eventually did start but struggled for a few minutes afterwards. I got it started but it shut off right away and the battery light came on. I really need to get this sorted cuz it's getting pretty cold outside already
thanks for the help so far, keep it coming
it could still be the remote start
well I just checked the wiring and that's not it, all connections are good and there's no visible unintentional grounds. and the remote start still sends the signal to the car (like I said in my first post) the cars turns over once and then dies.
SPARK, FUEL, AIR! Like Brandon said, check for spark. Did you check fuel pressure? Fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator? Air cleaner? Good Luck.
