Is there anywhere online to get a cheap head gasket set for an ecotec 2.2L? '96 Cavalier.
Yes, I checked eBay.
Umm pretty sure your 96 cav doesn't have an ecotec unless you swapped it. It prolly just a 2200 or 2.2 ohv not an ecotec. Just make sure before ordering a part you can't use
He got the regurlar 2.2, not the 2200.
Btw, cheap head set = cheap result.
Do it right and do it once. Go Fel-pro or Victor Reinz and forget about it.

Do Not go cheep!! Use Felpro and remember you also NEED new headbolts too. They are torque to yeild and should never be re-used as they'll never give you the proper torque reading.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

agreed, cheap=doing it again in another 1000 miles
and yes you do NEED to get new bolts. once these bolts(torque to yield) have been tightened once, they are tightened to their ultimate limit. and are PERMINANTLY stretched and NOT reuseable for thier intended application
i found a full seal kit minus bolts for about 200 for my 2.4L from Advanced Auto
