Well i have had a grinding type of noise for a while when ever i make a left turn. The noise is constant through the turn. While this noise is going on, when i drive straight i have this grinding noise aswell, but the noise is only there when i have my foot on the acclerator. Once i take my foot off it goes away. the noise only happens while going 40 MPH + All of the noises seem to be comming from the drivers side of the car
I have changed the following:
Axle-2 months ago
Strut mounts-Yesterday
Bearings- 2 weeks ago
brakes-1 week ago
All of these have been changed and i am now stuck on what the problem may be. Can any of you guys help?
Does it do this noise if you have the car in neutral while turning and pressing the accelerator?
You want to eliminate the possibility of a bad Diff or Tranny... I'm not sure I feel the description you gave so I would start with that simple test. If the noise goes away when you do that, I would consider talking to a transmission/diff expert. Don't just bring it to bozo shop because they'll end up outsourcing it anyways.
SoupMan
- and no, 'Soup' in SoupMan does not stand for Soup Up but for 'Soup' as in Lipton 'Soup'. -
Yea, about putting the car in neutral. ive tried stepping on the gas to see if maybe it was something wrong with then engine, but it seems like it only makes the noise going straight when the car is under a load, like pushing on the accelerator.
