with the stop leak, you are supposed to do a coolant flush after, not sure if you did that or not, i used a stop leak on my head once for my Sunbird, and it recommends flushing with water only. Best of luck though.

Now did you fill it up then start the car or did you just fill it up then it started doing that.

hm it must of burped or something it was full.. when i let it cool down n the pressure went out it was empty with no leaks.. i added coolant its fine now.. and yes i followed instructions carefully. Im pretty sure my water pump it out but its expensive to fix on the 2.4L hopefully this will buy me some time im trying to sell it anyway who knows

you created a new problem with the cooling system.

I do not recomend using STOP LEAK because that stuff not only stops the leak, but it also Stops your radiator and cooling system flow. it only takes one tiny bottle to cause problems, but unfortunatly you used God knows how many

That smoke you see coming from the over flow, is coolant getting hot inside the head and not circulating. your radiator is problaby clugged up and you need a new one.

actually ive probably put about 10 bottles of that stuff 10-15 and i never have a problem only that one time.. it was smoking because it burped and wasnt enough in the system im aware that it isnt great.. lol
