OK, I put in two different TPS sensors, and I am still getting the TPS code, actually the computer is giving me two codes, both of which are the same TPS code. I had both of these sensors in with my other ECU (the dead one) I am wondering if they could both be fried because the TPS sensor was one of the codes that my other ECU gave me when the thing died. So kinda wondering if it fried the connectors. I have taken one apart before so I know what they look like inside and understand that its a real simple device but IDK, kinda stumped. Almost wonder if the wiring to the TPS from the ECU is bad too. Any help?

PS. I actually attached this to one of my other posts in the boost forum but felt that I might get a response here instead. Please disreguard the other post if you've read it.

did you ever change the motor harness after you swaped the motor ?
i bet you pichned or cut the wire for the tps
did you make sure the sensor was adjusted right? if it is not reading the right percentage on a scan tool or voltage on a meter it will throw a code.
well it didn't throw the TPS code until the ECU died. Now that i replaced the damn thing, it doesn't wanna stop throwing that code, so I am wondering if it fried the two TPS sensors that I threw on it before I replaced the ECU. How do you know if its adjusted correctly, I thought you just threw it on and forgot about it. There's a scan tool for the TPS? Can you borrow one from Autozone too like the ECU scan tool?

the ecu scan tool is exactly what they are talking about.. on it you can see TPS voltage.
Just incase anyone was curious, I torched the car. Took it out to an open area, poured gas all over it and torched it with two full bottles of NAWZ, it lit up the night sky. Went home and reported it stolen. They laughed at me and said I didn't have that kind of coverage.
Kidding.
Turns out that another code came on too that was never noticed by autozone. It was the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. I cut a hole in the floor and replaced the sensor thinking it grounded out the system when it blew. Replaced the sensor and it still was all fubared. I was gonna jump the wiring from the sensor to inside the car and skip the wiring harness cause I noticed that when I disconnected the sensor I would get the 4.99 volts back. In the wiring to both the FTPS and the TPS. Also noticed there was continuity between the power and ground when the sensor was connected. Continuity between the battery positive and the chassis. When I went to cut the wires I noticed they were melted together. I pulled them apart, taped them up and thats all she wrote. Everything now runs great!
I figured that when I had the exhaust cut to the cat the hot exhaust fumes must have melted them together. So just about two years of torture is over..... for now. Thanks to all whom helped. I appreciate it. I am just goin to copy and paste this to all the posts I made about the issue.
