my 97 cav still wont start.it has the 2.2 w/ auto
when i first got it, i replaced fuel pump
cause it wasnt working. then i tried to start it, and all it did was
crank. no codes. i havea scanner. so then i replaced the
plugs, wires, coil packs, ign module, all kinds of diff sensors
the car was wrecked on pass side so i even replaced the ecm.
i tried the leave the key on for 10 minutes, that didnt work.
i can smell fuel so i assume its getting fuel. i know fuel pump is working, i can hear it.. i even replaced the fuel pressure sensor thing.
all parts were taken off of my other 97 cav, whiuch ran fine till it blew up. i even checked the combustion, its ok
how do u check fuel pressure? these cars have no port!
someone said replace the ign switch. so thats next.
what happens is it occasionally starts, but will die 2 seconds later
and other times it just cranks
this thing is driving me nuts!!!!!!!
i spent the last 3 or so months trying to get it to run
fuel pressure regulator was also replaced
can someone please help???? thanx
Could be a vaccum leak somewhere.

u said it starts for a few seconds then shuts off?
u replaced ECM right?
when it runs, and after it shuts off does your Theft System light flash?
if so u need to reprogram ur ECM. it needs to br programed to the anti theft in the cluster
