I get a squealing noise at idle with my 01 sunfire, not too loud, but enough to let me know its there, is this just a bad fan belt, or is my tensioner pulley getting bad.

Could be either. What's your mileage? If you've never changed the belt, then that's probably it.
Do you find its a squeal or more of a high pitched humm??
It's more of a squeal, but it;s only occasionaly, and my mileage is 150 thou. I;m gonna change the belt and hope that's the problem

put a drop of oil on the belt while its running.....if the noise goes away then its the belt
