Tensioner Pulley

I need to replace the tensioner pulley. The bearings have gone bad in it, making a nasty loud metal on metal grinding sound. I would like to just replace the tensioner pulley, but, I don't know if I should go ahead and replace the whole tensioner assembley or not. How often does the tensioner assembley go bad? Or do I even need to replace the pulley at all? Can I just spray some WD-40 on it (of course without getting any oil on the belt)?

Thanks for the help.

I've never changed one myself. BUT, parts america and autozone have the whole assembly or just the pulley available.

Can I buy just the pulley itself from you, if you have a 2.4L.

Yah, I noticed that you can buy the pulley and the whole assembly at autozone separately. I'm just not sure if I should just replace the pulley, or if I should go ahead and replace the whole assembly.
