misfire engine riching out

ok. i am misfireing on number three cylinder. this started a couple of weeks ago. i had two injectors start to leak, so i tried to just replace the o-rings when i did this number four cylinder started to missfire. i purchased new injectors. still the same thing. i was talking to one of my friends who is a tech at our chevy dealership and he said that i might have gotten a bad injector form carquest. so i had them order another one and swapped it out. the cylinders that i changed were number two and number four. so i put the four back in becasue that is the one that was misfireing. went back and checked it today and now the number three cylinder is misfiring. when hooked up to the tech 2 both times too much fuel is being dumped in. first on the number four was -14 points which was riching out, and that is now not riching out. now the number three is riching out by -25 points. we tried a different o2 sensor. when we unplugged the o2 sensor it ran a little better but not by much. it has to be a sensor or a wire. i also replaced the spark plugs incase that it had fouled out when the #4 cylinder was misfireing.

the idleing is jumping up and down anywhere from 100-300 rpms while idleing and it is jearking a little when i am at crusing speeds. mainly when the fuel loop is closed.

any suggestions. thanks guys

well if u had a 2.4L i'd say the distributor cover, but u got 2.2, id say check your coils...if not, i'd say try and get a set of four injectors from GM, carquest sux on getting good parts...

I got the same problem and I can't figure it out. I replaced numerous sensors ,MAP ,CMP, CKP ,IAC, O2 sensor, ICM etc. And its still doing that, I also replaced the Fuel Pressure Reg......But nothing. (Maybe thats your problem) The FPR is not releasing the pressure back N2 the tank so it is just forcing more fuel out toward the injectors, Just a thought.

I got a thread on here so take a look at it. Hope this helps you. BJ

the problem is that it is only one injector and it is a stock one. somewhere it is being told to dump more in. i am heading back down to the dealership here in a little bit and am going to try to do a few more things to it while on the computer.
