Hey everyone, got another question to throw out at you all. Today, which is not really too cold of a day I got into my car ('03 Sunfire 2.2L Eco) and drove for about 10 minutes, turned off car for a short while and than started driving home. On the way home I had to stop for a red light and when it turned green and I attempted to go I realized that the car had stalled without it being my fault. After starting it back up and on the rest of the drive home, every time I pressed the clutch in to stop the rpm's would drop to about 500 and the car would sound like it wanted to quit. Usually it idles at 1k and sounds good there, but this time I had to keep the gas pedal pressed to keep the rpm's high enough that it wouldn't quit. Any ideas at all? The car is still stock, nothing's been changed. All fluids were good and there were no odd smells.
Thanks in advance.
Apologies for the wrong forum. Thanks for the move.
battery? go to a local mechanic and have your battery tested.
That's kind of what I was thinking, no real reason for thinking it since I'm not much of a mechanic, I might be able to change some oil and that's close to it, but just a feeling I got since there wasn't anything else I could think of.
Plus I was planning on getting a beefier battery for winter anyway. Would a bad alternator cause anything like this?
there is a factory recall to get the ECU reflashed for this same problem. I have an 03" Cavalier and I have to take it next week to have this done. Hopefully your car falls into the same category for the recall?

"information is All Powerfull"
Hmm, interesting, thank you for the information. I'll definitely look into that.
If it's not to much trouble could I get a link or anything regarding the recall? I've been trying to find it online and have only had one hit on any recalls for a 2003 sunfire and that's for the back lights.
Any other opinions are still welcome as well.
