Went to the dealership Today

So i went to bring my car in to get a few things fixed, i just bought this 2001 cav z24 on oct 3rd 2005, the power windows didnt work..didnt find that out till i drove it home, the seatbelts dont go back into the track also my tranny is making loud grinding noise when i drop gear or accel normally only happends in 2nd, anyways they told me to bring it in so i did, they fixed the windows...but for the seat belts its apparently ok if they dont go back there words were "it will pass safty" and for the tranny they wanted to charge me 100$ for saturn synthetic tranny fluid to put in it...what the hell is that... so i told them if they dont fix it to start lookin for a another identical cav to give me, they have a 30day return. but err i hate dealerships...they sell u something and say i have bumper to bumper warranty from the dealership for 2500kms...and they dont provide..they say to bring it back in next week...but i doubt they will do anything..well i dont think i have a point to this post except for that i HATE dealerships i wish i would have private bought it...but i had a bad experiance buying a privte sale in the past...anyways guys take care.

Sucks to hear. I always fix everything myself.

They are obligated to fix everything with that kind of warranty. Did you test drive the car? If all else fails threaten legal action, you'd be surprised how quck they'll respond.

Remember your when you buy a car you deal with a salesman, when you need to car fixed you have to deal with a shop manager. The second creatures bonds are that of corporate policy. The first is whatever his slimy ass feels like saying to get you into a car, weather its in good condition or not.

Wow, sounds like you really got Jewed into that car, but keep in mind that not all dealerships suck. It is these kinds of dealers that make the good one, (like the one I work for), look bad. They should replace evrything that is broken if is it a bumper to bumper warrenty, and since you havn't had it that long, they should be right on top of that to correct the problem. I dont; what ahas happened to customer services these days, but some of the stories that I hear from people about other dealers, just makes me wonder how in the hell that person can still have a job. If anyhting like that happened were i work, problem would have beed fixed even before you picked up the car. I would give them one more chance to kix the problem ,and if not, then i would return the car ans say F it. i would go and find anouther one. As far as the seat belt. it shouldn't matter if it will pass safety, it if the piont that it is busted. If all else fails, demand to talk to the general manager of the dealership and tell that you have been jerked around, and see what they can do for you.

I am what I am and it is what it is.
I am the 2nd most untrusted person in the world next to a lawyer, welcome to our dealership, may I help you?

Every dealerships has a "1-800" number for customers to contact higher reps than the dealership. If they don't do anything next time, or don't wait; ask them for that number because you want to speak to someone higher than the service manager. Most service managers will get a little worried that you are going to call and complain about them and might start doing something.

Pay the $100 for the oil, and take the bill and your contract to a lawyer!
