Anyone know where the PCM is on the 2000 cavalier? I recently got the B&M shiftplus and was wondering if anyone knew where the heck the PCM is since you have to wire through it. Couldnt find any other posts for this car so im sorry if its on the site in another post. Thanks in advance.
you can wire the shift plus right at the tranny. No need to plug it at the ECM.
Check on the transmission forum.

is yours a 3 speed auto, cause i have the same car as you, and i was curious about the same thing, cause people say that the B & M shiftplus and the Auto Interceptor only works for the four speed auto's, but then again i'm not sure. Just seeing what you have heard.
The shift plus ONLY work on the 4 speed. the 3 spd is mechanical and not electronic like the 4speed so it won't do anything on a 3spd.

hey man thanks for the response... next stupid question. Did B&M send me the wrong shifter or what? My wireharness is not on the diagram. All of the diagrams on the instruction sheet have a light blue wire with a black stripe and a red wire with a black stripe that you are supposed to connect to so i tie wrapped those wires on my PCM. Being as replacing my ECU is not in my budget i didnt hook onto the wires at the risk of frying something else. Do you know whether those two wires are the right ones or does it sound like B&M just sent the wrong shifter?? Thanks again to any replies.
The thing is that the Shift plus is NOT made for the cavalier. But the wires are the right color.
I suggest pluggin it at the trans. You have a plug in front of the tranny and you have both wire there. There's 1 problem tough, therE's more than 1 wire of the same color.
TO INSTALL SHIFT KIT #70380 AT TRANNY... 2 MINUTE INSTALL: this install was done on a 98 2.2l 4 speed auto, this connector is found in the front of the transmission to the left of the battery, and to the right of the header, it is gray and circular, it is about 6 inches down from the red tranny vent plug, thats says trans, it is 2 inches in diameter, the wires u are connecting is the black wire to the lt blue with white stripe, now the other red wire you want to install to is the red wire with black stripe this wire is directly underneath the light blue one, not the one to the right of it, which is another red with black stripe wire, which has a dark blue wire underneath, look at the connector with the white arrow at 180 degrees, any problems let me know, i get no engine lights, and my ets off light doesn't come on like some people have had problems with stage II.
That's from littlebill registry. That's waht I did. I only have the TC off light but it's normal. Do not use the B&M connector.
