I have a 97 cav 2.2 litre and when I start it, it takes a while to start. I have replaced the starter so it isn't that problem. I have heard other cav and sunfires sound liek this too, but I would like to know how ot fix it or what to do, any suggestions would be great.
Also I smell gas around the car but not around the gas tank, anyone know what exactly that could be?

My 95 2.2 was doing the exact thing. It was the lower o-ring of one of the injectors. It was ripped, when the car was off it flooded the cyl. When I tried to start it it would miss and hesitate and stink something fierce of gas. Check these out.
