I have a question for you white rim owners. I have a set myself and I have a hard time cleaning the fronts. I find the brake dust builds up and when I go to the car wash it leaves a pale yellow residue behind. I tried a rim cleaner, but it didn't really bring back that shiney white that I originally had.
Any tips on what I can use to get it back to bright white?
Thanks guys.
all i ever used was soap and water.....always turned out white for me
Try a clay bar? Works for my stock silver wheels... they started turning yellow... it was gross
I used bleach like every month but be careful about what you wear...
And I used soap and water the rest of the month when it came down to
needing a wash.
But this is not a maintenance problem..I assure you on that!!
I am not sure if this works on whit wheels or not but i have used it in wheel covers, my chrome LS Sport rims, and even sliver alloy wheels and is worked just fantastic. It might sound kind of wierd but it worked better than any other product that i have seen that cleans rims. Take a spray bottle and fill it about half with water, and then fill the rest with THE WORKS, the stuff the unplugs your drains and cleans your shower. Works absolutly great. But be sure to use rubber gloves as it will give you a rash if it touches your skin. Hope it helps and let me know if it works.
I am what I am and it is what it is.

My dad swears by that new mothers wheel cleaner, its a foam ball on the end of a drill. It made his old rims look almost brand new! Its called the powerball, expensive yet worth it. I have found it anywhere from 23-30 bucks.
