Has anyone had any trouble after getting the starter or ignition recall (the one that they said that your dash will catch fire) and anotherthing does anyone know how to get water out of your tank? thanks in advance

had no problem at all with recall. they inspect and replace components of ignition harness if necessary. my uncle works at a chevy dealership here and i took my 99 2.2 cav to him. he said only 1 in like 10000 cars actually has a problem. just take your car to a chev dealer and they check it out at no cost. as for the second problem, how much water are we talking about in your tank? if its only a small amount, there are hundreds of formulations (like HEET) that will remove water from the fuel system. worst case scenario, you might have to drop the tank and drain it. start simple and work your way up. try some heet first. also, remeber that your fuel filter is a water/fuel seperator, you might want to change it when you're done with all of this.
thanks i hasd already had the recall done i just wanted to see if it had any side effects after wards then that is it it is deffinalty water in the tank it can't be too much but sometime the rpms get stuck at a thousand rpms and i have to hold the clutch in and reev it acouple of times and it clears up for a little while the last time it happened it took me like a month to get the water out then i go to the gas stations and get some more bad gas right after it cleared up.

run an injector cleaner/water remover at least every oil change for good measure. it will help keep the water problem down
The fuel filter is a water/fuel separator ? Thats news to me
Claim they f*#$(d it up and make them pay if you have taken it in already.
