Hi, i have a 98 sunfire and i was wondering if the e-brake handle can be removed, i tried, i dont know how or if it can be removed, any help would be appreciated; thank you.

If you're trying to put on an aftermarket one, then you're in for some custom work. You'll have to cut the stock one and somehow deal with getting the new one on. This is not a simple swap.
If you're just trying to get it off so you can change the cable or something, and not trying to modify it, then let us know and we'll give directions for that. Actually, just pick up a Haynes manual and it will show you how.
I just want to remove it to paint it white then reistall it.
I dont think it tells how to remove the e-brake handle in the hanes manual, i have a hanes manuel, i will have to look into that.
Could i have the instructions on how to remove it please

i heard its molded onto the metal handle and ther is no way to remove it without destroying it

You have to remove the console, and there is like 3 or 4 bolts holding down the e-brake, then remove the brake cable and take the whole frame for it out.

In your sig it looks like you have an aftermarket e-brake handle, or is that just the decal overlay thing from canadian tire?
