Not sure if this would go in here, but I don't think it fits anywhere else?
Lately I've been having issues starting my 05 Cavalier. I used to be able to just put down the clutch and brake and start with no issue. Lately I've had to really mash the clutch down to get my car to even want to start. The cavi only has about 6200 miles on it. I had it in for an oil change at 3200 when I had it converted to synthetic. Its due in for another Oil change on Friday. There are no other problems with the car, just that starting issue. I was thinking that the clutch was starting to wear out on it. This is the first 5 speed I've had, so I don't know how long clutch's last or anything. It doesn't have any problems shifting, getting into gear, etc. There is no grinding, etc. Am I just a putz? LOL. Is it that it is just getting "worked in" and getting harder to start?
*shrug*
The transmission should be OK for a long time barring a ridiculously horrible driver. So if the clutch is going out then thats weird. I say take it to the dealer since you're under warranty.

Words that you can't use in modding: Finished, Perfect, Cheap.
Yeah, take it to a dealer. Might be as simple as the clutch switch being shot.
I'm guessing its something thats just simple. When I readjust my foot onto the clutch it starts right up. Is this normal for 5-speeds to do this after awhile?
No, not normal at all, i have had my 99 Z-24 for 4 years and my 03 LS sport for 1 year and i have never had that problem before in either one of my cavaliers. But i was also thinking that it might just be a switch that is bad, I don't think that it is anything major all. Besides, you have warranty.
I am what I am and it is what it is.
I am the 2nd most untrusted person in the world next to a lawyer, welcome to our dealership, may I help you?
Yea, I haven't used my warranty yet, lol. Maybe its time to
