before anyone says use the search. i already have but with no avail. i a replacing the o-rings for my fuel injectors becasue two are leaking. i have a 97 cavi 2.2 ohv. i need to know which fuse in the power supply box, the fuse box under the hood, is the one for the fuel pump. or do i not have to take the fuse out. this would be to relieve pressure before i start taking it apart. thanks in advance
as long as you dont turn the car on the fuel pump has no power therefore no need to remove the fuse. on the 2.2 you just losen to connector the relieve the psi from the pump . you will lose some fuel. and before starting the car, leave the key turned to the acc. position for a min or to so the pump will put some fuel back into the system b4 starting it
Im gonna take a stab at this and say its the fuse/relay marked "fuel pump".
considering the fact that i lost my relay box cover about three months ago i couldn't just look at the top cover otherwise i wouldn't be asking this. jon thanks that is what i thought i just didn't know if there would be massive pressure in the fuel lines. red devil think for a second or two. don't jump to conclusions. obviously as i stated above in the "power supply box which fuse is it" that would mean i know where the fuse box is located and i have no way of telling where it is.

Well hey... maybe if you took a second or two to actually type out that you lost your fuse box cover, then maybe I wouldn't have said that...
