Cav is short shifting, wants to stall @slow speeds

Coming home from work, my car almost died while making a corner at a red light, then when I got out of town, I mashed the gas and there was a lot of hesitation between when I floored it and when there was response, and it didn't down shift from 4th, I was only going about 35-38mph. Then when I got home, there was a load "clicking" noise from under my back doors. I was in a bad need of an oil change which I took care of when I got home. So we'll see what happens today going to and from work.

Any ideas guys? Thx for your help.

the shifting thing COULD be the torque converter lock up solinoid going bad and its not letting the converter unlock itsself from the engine. Just a guess tho. good luck I hope you find out whats up.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

Hmmmm I changed my oil 2 nights ago, went to work and back home yesterday without any problems, shifted fine, no hesitating, etc. Very interesting ....

Sounds like ur torque convertor clutch is sticking, that is the switch itself as jackalope said.I would replace the switch and DO a transmission flush or rather change ur fluid in the trans. This should clear it up no problem.ITs called a tcc switch for short. If u do not change the fluid after replacing the switch this will reoccur bc the trans fluid is worn to the point its runnning to high a temp, and fries the switch.
