Can you tell me where the build sheet was placed on a 1991 Pontiac Sunbird convertible with the V6 engine? I have tried calling the manufacturing plant but no luck.
Probably thrown out at the end of the line or when it got to the dealer. The idea of having them hidden somewhere in the car is a faint hope. I don't think that happens anymore, at least not often.
Have you heard of anybody finding them inside the car? I have an old mustang and that is where the manufacturer put them. I was hoping to find them. Luckily I am the original owner so if the plant put it there then it should be there.
I found my build sheet under the back seat when i was pulling it out to do some cleaning before i traded it, but i had a hell of a time putting that back seat in *sheesh*

Mel, you're the first person I know that's actually found one in a third gen.. not that I ask very often
I've had lots of J's apart at the wrecking yard... and of all the 'obvious' places it might be... under carpet, seat, gas tank, dash, etc... I've never seen one. I had a Cobalt as a rental car, and it was in the glove box.. so I snagged it
but I've never seen a J one.

I found one but it wasn't a build sheet. All it was was a paper that said Lordstown, OH and some 6 digit number. It was about the size of a playing card. I think I still have it in my owners manual. Didn't think much of it till now.
It is probably hidden in your car somewhere. I found one for my old 99 under the passenger side carpet. I found the one for my GMC as well but I dont remember where. They are quite interseting to look over.
Now I wanna go on a treasure hunt in my car...well not really.
I found the one for my car in the brochure they gave me. LOL Then I accidentally left it in my back seat and something spilled on it
i have ripped every single piece out of my car and have found nothing. now that makes me sad....i didnt know there were supposed to be some there

wait... the build sheets are the papers that say what model and trim level your car should have in it? If so, I found a couple of those in my car when I had it apart. I dont remember what I did with it though.
i found mine under the headliner when i took it apart a long time ago. i threw it out by accident...

Just found one from my 92 cav that I traded in 5 years ago in a box of stuff from my glove box at the time. Still no sign of one on my 01 Z tho
My 90 Cavi and 89 Cavi parts car both had the half sheet ones tucked into the springs of the rear seat back.
Darn near same spot for both of em.
