leaking anti-freeze coolant
Sunday, August 14, 2005 12:10 PM
Hi all ... never knew I had a problem til I stopped for gas and found a puddle of coolant under the car ... opened the cap, pulled the themrostat put in about 2 litres of water in, enough to get me home without overheating ... dripping on passenger side regardless if car is running or not ... of course it drips faster if the cap is off ... when the car is not running, top looking down, the top end hoses look good, driver side even is dry, but the drip is on the passenger side (constant drip) when the car is not running ... any thoughts? Thanking all in advance ... regards ...Irv

You need to find the leak. Jack it up and crawl underneath for a bottom-side inspection. Wear safety glasses

yup instead of asking, just get under the car and look for yourself.

I have it jacked up ... seems a bit perplexing ... can't pinpoint it ... I thought I'd put it out there to see if anyone has had the same sort of problem (2.0l MPFI) ... here we go again

Yeah on my 96 sc2 saturn i hit a couple of
huge pot holes by my house and the next
morning there she was dripping on my cement..
So i took it to my friends and jacked it up and
took us a while but we found the problem... it was a crack in
the radiator. $1800 later and a new radiator in
my saturn and it was good to roll. But f-that saturn
it took a @!#$ on me after fixing the radiator. So i sold it
for 500...haha. and now got a 05 chevy cavy only thing
is its auto. :0(

I just found a leak also. Found it comming from the weep hole on the pump, but it does not look like fun to replace. It's a '95 2.3 with 252,000 on it. Any tips here on what I'm up against?

My guess would be if the Rad hoses are good, I would take a look at youre water pump, And see if you have any coolant leaking out of it, If so replace youre water pump right a way.
