I have an automatic.
I'll be driving, and notice that the light has come on. I then notice that if I accelerate, and then let off on the gas while im in drive, its seems like transmission is in 3rd or a higher gear, and feels like the motor is slowing the car down (if that makes any sence).
I know the "ETS off" light will come on, if you put it into 1st, or if the Emergency Brake is engaged. But it was in drive, and the Emergency Brake was dis-engaged.
I have no idea what or why this is happening. But it's only happened in the past few days randomly.
If I keep the car turned off for a good 10-15 mins, the light goes away.
Any ideas?
Im hearing stories that it may be cause by a loose vacuum line...but which one?

Portage, MI
I checked all my vacuum lines, and found two vacuum caps on the throttle body, that were corroded, and cracked...i replace them and the light was gone.
Hopefully it stays off...

Should I be driving with the light on as it is and then when I want to use the "ETS" i hit the button and the light goes off? I'm confused now, somone help me.
