Ok, so yesterday, my a/c was operating fine in both settings. Now, today, when I turn it on (max and normal) the clutch engages correctly, then my rpm's start fluttering rediculously. Once the comp clutch has been engaged, the air gets really cool then in the next second it automatically disengages itself again all on its own just blowing hot air! This gets too be so bad to the point that when I'm sitting at a dead stop at a traffic light, with the a/c on and then go to accelerate, when I hit the accel., its spins the rpm's up really quickly to say, somewhere in the 1000-1200 rpm area. This scares me...it lunges from a dead stop then proceeds to fall down and fluctuate up. I can hear the clutch disengaging whenever I let off of the gas then as soon as I tap it again, it kicks back on.
Could this be a faulty switch or "almost" compressor failure?
I havent tested anything yet b/c I have no idea where to start. All the connectionsd appear to be fine tho. The car runs pefect when the a/c is off
please let me have w/e you guys can give me!
thanks

EDIT: It does this at speeds up until about 40mph then I cant really notice the hesitation any longer but I still can feel the "ifness" that it wants to as soon as I slow down....if that helps at all. Just from slow speeds and an accelrating from a stop standpoints
thanks again
