I have a friend who just recently replaced her key ignition and now her 97 Cavalier (2.2 L) Computer goes crazy saying that the car has been tampered with and her alarm goes off and finally the car shuts down. Is there any way to fix this issue or should she just bring it to a dealership.
Found the answer:
Turn key to on position and leave it there for ten min.
Turn key to off position and leave for ten min.
Repeat first step
Repeat second step
Start car
