my friend has a 98 sunfire with the 2.2 motor in it. the other day he went to turn the A.C on and the car almost stalled out the car itll idle fine but when he turns the ac on it almost stalls out and then the the rpms go up and theres a click and they drop and it does it over and over. what can be makeing it do this?
How old is the car battery? that could cause alot of trouble, Cause if one cell is shot on the battery it will cause idle to drop. I would also look at has the car had a tune up? the IAC motor may need cleaning if alot of carbon deposits in there. which cause the idle to drop too fast.
