Does Freon from AC evaporate if never used?
#1 cars before 1993 or so use Freon, cars now and have used 134a, more friendly to the enviorment. Some say the hole in the ozone was partly caused by Freon.
Anyways no 134a doesnt evaporate.

So basically you are saying I have a leak? I don't get it I drive the car AC works perfect, i park it for a year and take it out now the AC is blowing out hot air, the compressor is working and all it just blows out hot air how can i have a leak if i didn't even use the car and it worked perfect before i parked it?
U got a leak, maybe through the seals. The seals could have dried up also.
a/c wether is R12 or R134a , are in a sealed system , and do not evaporate
they will leak out how ever
you sure the compressor is working ? with the a/c on the larger of the 2 lines is the cold line , put your hand on it near the big aluminum bottle(keeping it simple for you) and if the tube is very cold , you might have another problem inside , if it barely feels cold then your low
you will have to have the system inspected and serviced
