A Cam What?
Wednesday, June 22, 2005 10:14 AM
Well I was using Car-part.com to get phone#'s for yards with Intake cams and exhaust cams for my secret cam swap...Getting the intake camshaft was easy, 50 bucks to my door, but when I called some places for the exhaust cam I was amazed to hear their responses. One guy didnt know what a Cam, camshaft, exhaust cam was and 2 others werent sure what I meant and then said they didnt part out cars like that. So my rant I suppose is, why do these places participate in the database if they dont even sell the parts listed by them? Ok enough of that, but at least I got one of two for today

most yards wont sell them, why would you even want to buy one? Your going to use new cam bearings right? Why put a cam in it with wore lobes??

Sorry man, buy them new. Its like going to a junkyard and buying piston rings and bringing them home and putting them in your motor. Doesnt make sense to me.
