For some unknown reason, everytime I turn on my A/C, the cooling fan fuse blows. Turning on the heater doesn't seem to cause the problem. Anybody have an idea as to how I could fix this? I've been to 3 garages now and all anyone has done is change the fuse which obviously doesn't help. Any ideas at all are greatly appreciated.

hey i had a check engine light come on, took it to the dealer and they said that the cooling fan was drawing too much power and causing the fuse to blow out. they ended up replacing the fan and fuse... (it was under warranty still). I'm not sure if those two fans have anything in common, but all i'm saying is that it might be a faulty fan that is drawing too much power... good luck with that

Short to ground likes to blow fuses.
My Car
I'd take it back to the garage and get them to fix it right since you paid for it. They should have used the following method
Cause- Whats happening that causes the fuse to keep blowing
Effect-Blown fuse
Solution-What is done to correct the fuse eating issue
They just skipped to the solution without finding the cause(s), this could effect other systems on the car or worse, cause a fire.
Thanks everyone

J Caff, did you ever find out what happened? I'm having the same problem. I noticed it since the rad fan and the blower motor are off the same fuse. I'm wondering if the blower motor is bad.
Thanks!
