my check engine light keeps comein on and every time it says evaporation emissions failure. does any 1 kno what migh b the prob. and should this have kept my car from passin inspection. cause my dads friend did the inspec and i gave him a tip and he was like thanx u kno we hook u up.

Loose gas cap or corroded wiring harness on the back of the car like mine had. Could be a number of other things, but thats where to start. You could also have a bad Evap purge solenoid, bad evap canister, gas tank leak, or bad gas cap.
