Ok, i have a weird situation with my passenger side window. Just had my windows tinted on Friday morning. They said to wait three days before lowering window. Fast Foward to today. Put my window down, drove for couple hours, came home, go to put the window up, and its going really slow, but goes up, i put it back down to go look at it, looks like a piece of black felt (im guessing part of the window inner lining?) its coming out, preventing the window from going up and down properly, Even when you lower it it impedes it, same on way up. So my questions are
A. When they tint your front wondows, do they take off the door panel???
B. If they do, do you think they f'ed it up
C. If they dont, whom should i contact about fixing it, the Tint Shop or Scion.
D. Would something like that be easily fixed, (would it be covered by warranty
Only had this car 3 weeks, really hoping nothing is messed up
just take off your door panel and fix it yourself

Do you honestly think that will fix it??
I really dont want to remove the door panel, like i said ive had this car three week
is that black felt piece or rubber piece looked like it is tucked into the panel......they did that to mine when they tinted them so they can tint further down...maybe that is why its being held up

Its hard to explain, but it looks like the felt looking thing and the rubber piece "came out" and is preventing the window from moving properly. Thats why i curious as to if when they tinted do they remove the door panel, because i was thinking maybe they didnt fix that part right (at least thats what im hoping)
yes, the door panels come off while being tinted, atleast at every tint shop ive ever seen, makes it alot easier and usually a better job
no prob didn't remove the door panel to add the tint. I'm thinking that maybe the felt/rubber thing slips onto a lip on the door panel and maybe it's not in the slot right preventing the window from moving freely?

Ive tinted a few cars and I always remove the door panel & the rubber weather stripping around the glass If i can...
Take it back to the people who tinted the glass and tell them they farked up your weather stripping... Alot of places rush when doing jobs, and its easy to get that fouled up.

I vote return to tint shop and have them fix it, or pay the Scion bill to fix it.
The guy who tinted my g/f's 03 Civic did not remove the door panels.

most places do not remove the door panels when they do a tint job at most they will tape the felt window striping down to prevent the fibers from getting on the wet window while installing the tint. It is possible they removed the door panel but unlikely. you should be able to easily remove the door panel and fix this yourself however you can just take it back to the tint shop and have them do it.
