Transmission Pan

Does anybody know of a place that sells transmission pans for the 2.4L with the 4 speed auto? Don't want to go with a junkyard piece, if possible. Had an unfortunate incident with a rock that dented the pan, with the back seal not seating flush with the case. Thanks.

John, sometimes a transmission service/repair center has

a transmission that is not rebuildable, and it is then put in

a scrap pile for parts salvage.

(A new one from GM lists for about $57 as best that I can

remember.)

Auto salvage yards are usually reluctant to strip a pan

because they usually sell the entire unit to rebuilders.

You may want to check the repair shops first. Good Luck !

ATP makes those pans for the 4t40e. Not sure on cost though.

FWD transmission pan is different from RWD....so, be

careful with any after-market pan for this model transmission.

Be sure to let us know if you find something....thanks.
