I ran out of gas the other day and now when I start my car it seems like it is starving for gas for the first few seconds till I either let it sit of give it a few quick revs. Why would it be doing this?
I would assume it's fuel related. My fuel filter is not very old and have never had a problem with the my fuel pump.
Like I said it just started happening after I ran out of gas the other day. Could this just be because of that?

if there was sediment/residue at the bottom of the tank, your filter, or pump might have ingested some.
happened to me...had a brand new filter and i ran dry and it picked up junk from the bottom and plugged it...try replacing ur filter again..

Sounds a lot like a fuel filter issue to me. Try replacing the filter and running a strong fuel injector cleaner with your next tank of gas.
Learned that lesson with a 1990 Chevrolet Caprice 9c1 I used to have
