Warranty Issues

Am I the only person in the world that is having problem with GM honoring their warranties? I have friends that have cars from a certain JAPANESE car maker and they replaced his front struts 17,000km after his warranty was up because they felt that it was a defect in the strut and they should fix it. Maybe this is an isolated incident but when I called GM about my front struts they told me it was normal wear and tear. I know cars and front struts do not go from normal wear and tear at 80,000km. I told the person on the phone at GM the honda story and he laughed and told me I was lying to him. I laughed back and told him I would never by gm again and hung up. Is it just me or what?

The point isn't that it is cheap.....the point is I paid for the damn warranty and it covers nothing! Why offer one if it covers nothing and you won't honor it anyways? it is pure garbage.

I had some CS issues with GM Dealer also. They were supposed to order a A/C Control Unit for my car because the knobs no worky no more. 6 weeks later i called and it was never order. I called 2 weeks after my initial visit and they said it was backordered (which was obviously a lie). Anyways find out after 6 weeks that its a part that they keep instock and took it in and got it fixed.

Another occasion, i went to get an oil change and tire rotation. Went to pick up my car and then told me taht my tire went flat and they could order me a new one for $40 with $25 to mount and balance. Im like no thank you ( i knew i only had a slow leak) Anyways, I open my trunk and there is my Tire full with about 35 PSI of air.. Got home and put it back on and it didnt even get noticably low for about 2 weeks. If u didnt catch it... They lied to me and told me it was COMPLETELY flat and they couldnt put it on because of that. Said it was a valve steam leak in the side wall or something like that.
