Can anyone give me ideas??
I was driving on the autoroute... it was raining quite a bit.. and all of sudden, my engine light came on....????
what could it be.. I haven't done any mods to the car...
what should I check as fast checks before I ask my mechanic to check it out???
LET ME KNOW PLEASE
take it to autozone if there is one near you they will plug it in and tell you for free
Did it just come on and stay on, or flash, or what? Also, did you turn the car off, wait a few or overnight, then turn it back on the light is still on?

Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
I'm really tired of post like this.
Your check engine light can mean thousands of things, us guessing what the problem is is like guessing the weather two weeks in advance in Michiagn, its freaking impossible.

great news... for some reason.. I go in my car today and the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT went off... it doesn't stay on anymore...
could it have been due to doing an oil change.... i even made the mechanic check all the fluids too...everything was ok...
any ideas?
No, you most likely have an intermittent problem.

^^ yeah there's probably a code stored in the computer
My Car
Or his gas cap wasn't tight enough and the code reset after enough error-free startups.
DUDE,
how many people does it take to tell you to go to auto zone and have them hook it up to a scan tool for free..... BEFORE YOU DO IT! lol..
no one here will be able to just guess and guess correctly what's wrong with your car.
That's why they make it so easy for autozone to do it for free. just go and get it hooked up. then if you want come back and tell us what was wrong..... cause we don't know!
^^^ He happens to live where there are no Autozones offering free code scans.
