hello there. i have a 99 cavilier z24,, my mapping sensor has gone and im wondering witch exsactly that it, and were it is. i have an idea but not to sure. i dont want to replace this part untill i know that it is a mapping sensor for sure. thax..

Its not a "mapping" sensor, its a MAP sensor. Manifold Air Pressure, it tells the engine what the air pressure in the manifold is. Its used to calculate the fuel trims.

ok well sry. were is it. is it the little sensor right neer the TB with teh little hsoe running from it??

it looks flat. and its Manifold Absolute Presure.
