Well, I was driving along today and my brakes totally went out, pedal to the floor. Thing is there are no leaks, the resevoir is up to max. I have heard a few things, Brake Booster, Master Cylinder, and rear shoes. Anyone experience this before, or have any ideas????

When you pump the pedal a few times does it return to normal height, and then are the brakes good enough for like one or two stops?

No, the pedal just goes right to the floor.

Do you have fluid in the car by any chance? Any puddles under the car near the tires?
Sounds like a master cylinder to me, but try bleeding the brakes first. Usually when your fluid is toast it will still work if you pump the pedal.
Just a quick question about your original post.............how fast were you going & how did you get it stopped???
I recently had to change my rear wheel cylinders due to leaks to pass state inspection , but in the process had a line rust through & break while my foot was pushing down the pedal..that sucked a ton of air back in that I can't seem to get out...............going to try the " mityvac" next.
When that line broke , the pedal went straight to the floor.
