i know for a fact u have to cover the computer and other stuff....but if anyone can tell him how to do this id love to do it 2
I have used a pressure washer on mine many times. Just make sure you try to cover up the holes in the alternator the best you can and the intake. Make sure the car is running while you do it. Also do not spray alternator directly. The only problem I ever had was this past weekend, because I got a little bit of water where the spark plug wires go, It doesnt cause any damage just needs to be aired out with an air hose or it the engine vibrates real bad. After I aired it out and drove it for about 2 miles it went away.
I should add to be careful what you are doing, if unsure I wouldnt do it becuase it can mess you engine up pretty bad if you screw it up.
I wouldn't reccomend doing it all- especially while the engine is on. Thats a good way to crack something.
I have had my car for a about 2 years and have done it numerous times. Greg does it and so does his brother no problems so far. But to each there own, I was just stating that I had no problems.
i cover the alternator and intake with tin foil along with my nitrous solenoids. but first i let the engine run for a few to warm up so all the grease and oil comes off easier. then i spray the engine with some degreaser then hose it off

anytime you over cool an engine too fast you risk cracking your blcok or head...washing it with the engine running is like doing it for verginity...what a stupid idea.
Im not trying to kick your shins...but be careful man, my buddy cracked his 88 chev. 350 block with a pressure washer when the truck was hot, and most mechanics and such will tell you the same thing.
my 96 explorer got all messed up from pressure washing after a lil mudding expedidtion up in the woods, i dont even do it anymore, its just safer to not do it.

I agree with Brent Lister, makes perfect sense. Who knows it may work a couple of times and then all of a sudden BOOOOOOOOM!........or maybe not, only thing you have to lose is your motor.....or maybe your face if you're too close. Well, whatever you decide to do, goodluck.

Might make a difference that power washer I use heats the water. Like I said I have never had a problem, but thats also why I came back and said something about knowing what you are doing when you do it so you dont screw something up.
