hello well ive had my intake installed for awhile.. but i posted up here awhile ago about my car bogging out when its cold.. so i thought it mite be the sensor that goes into the intake.. i took it out and it looked like it mite not be in enough to have air "flowing over it" so i cut a piece of the rubber off my aftermartket intake so it would sit in the intake more.. anyway after i plugged it back in i got a check engine light?? i heard if u leave ur keys in the ing. with it not running but "on" that it resets something anyway wondering what else i can do? i have access to a tech-2 if need be but hopefully can do something now?
if the IAT sensor is not all the way into the bung in the intake it will throw a code. what intake kit do you have?
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
i have cosmo racing one.. ive been out there fiddling with it right now.. i unplugged it a couple times and plugged it back in does it take awhile for it to reset the code or?? im thinking if i drive it tomorrow it will go off.. atfirst i unplugged the IAT sensor.. looked inside and no light..i dont even know why i checked i just did..lol anyway i plugged it all back in and stuff and now i get a light still ive turned it on and off and all that junk that i thought could help but its still there has to be the sensor.. i added coolant and did that thats it..
first find out what the CEL is. it could be something else ( highly doubtful) but its possible.
take off your neg bat. terminal leave it out for 15-30 mins. and push your brakes a couple times.(to release any current in the wire)
that will reset your ECU..or at least it should.
then see if your CEl comes back on

wrong! on my weapon r intake it's not all the way into the bung (damn near impossible the way they the intake is made without some custom work) and my car isn't throwing any codes.
