So after 4 years GM issues a recall notice on my 01 z24..... Something about Ignition Thermal events... Hope it doesnt take forever... Anybody else get this?

just about everyone that owns a 3rd gen. J-Body did. if you got the car used then they had to track you down thats why it took so long to get to you.

its because of stupid people that think if the car doesnt start the 1st time
that you have to keep the key turned to the crank position tell A-battery goes dead , B-car starts
in keeping the cranking going for a long period , causes the switch to heat up , and posible fire
why do people get worked up over a recall recalls are good. they show that even though the car is sold and possibly out of warrenty GM still cares also for saftey reasons.
the ;lower pinion recall i got a new rack for my car. its a 97 sunfire GT had 160 000km on it and i got a new rack well a reman but its new.
i hope i get recalls on my equinox after its paid for (FREE PARTS)

GM only cares because they're afraid of getting sued by someone who may get injured by this "thermal event".
all they do is put a relay in line with the starter.... they gave me hell about this because of the HO mani I had on there....
