So my car is a '99 Z24. The window motor worked going down, but would take it's time going up. Kind of spooling energy before going up only a few inches. I stripped the door and swapped out the motor. Works like a charm, and I'd never done it before.

Next day (today), I park my car at work, and the shift cable snaps. I manually shifted the tranny under the hood, with help from my brother, and got the car home.

Two days ago, it was pouring rain. I go to pass someone on the highway, and the tranny kicks down and all of the sudden, my entire instrument cluster lights up, and goes out except for one bulb...the "Theft Security" light.

What is this light? My car doesn't have an alarm system to my knowledge. I don't even know how to activate it if it does.
I shut the car off and turn it back on and the light goes out never to be seen again. A sneeze?

The car is only 6 years old. Why all the problems all of the sudden?? Anyone else have these problems?
