my g/f's Cavalier, when you first go to step on the gas pedal, it feels stuck and you have to press harder than usual. It sometimes causes you to launch at a stop light lol.

sounds like it may have carbopn build up at the TB.......usualy worse cold then gets better when its hot
its just that one spot though, when first push the pedal, once you have it pressed, its easy. How do you suggest I fix this? I was thinking it would be in the pedal assem. itself.

when you first press the pedal is when the carbon in the TB is broken free.......after that it will be fine.......start with cleaning the TB and go from there
and if its not that? Do you know of any good products to try?
