Well people sometime this week I have this going on:

-porting a used 2200 intake manifold and swapping it in (porting today)
-56 mm TB from a Sunfire GT
-putting on a new fuel filter (since I will have the fuel pressure relieved anyway)
-flush & fill DEX-COOL coolant

So I have a few questions regarding the manifold swap.

Is flushing the coolant system necessary? the reason I ask is because my
coolant still looks good. (however in Haynes it list this as a step) so I went out and
bought a flush kit and new DEX-COOL.


on the 2001 2200's is the fuel rail difficult to remove? I have never had it off before.
how hard is removing the power steering pump?
If I do this myself about how long should it take? (I may have a friend's help though)

any help from the 2200 crowd would be great!
