OK, I'm freaking out, My new 05 Sunfire makes a REALLY loud clunking noise when downshifting and accelerating at full throttle. Also, when powershifting, when I shift gears it makes this same noise. It sounds like it's coming from the engine bay, but I checked the mounts and exhaust and everthing seemed tight, but the noise persists.
Any help would be appreciated.

id double check the mounts. they are probably broke.
On a BRAND NEW car??? Is it possible that they could be broke that soon??? Also, how would I be able to check if they are bad???

a new car would be odd but my friend in his 01 sunfire had the same problem. It was his mounts were worn out and causing something on the engine to hit the firewall.
