Yes officer I knew the speed limit was 50
Also if your O2 sensors were bad, and they sent out way to rich of a miuxture, you car would smell like rotten eggs.
Cat. convetor dont fail on their own, something causes them to fail, I suggest you find the underlying problem, otherwise you will just be replacing your cat. again and again.
I heard this from a shop near my house by the way.

Agreed. Have your O2 sensors checked out first.
the smell has not been going away and it seems that its not doing so hot on gas ill have to fill it again and set the trip on it to see how long it takes to go on E. also i have the stock muffler still and the tips of them are like black so when i washed them it came off but its back now wut is that? its not smokeing at all runs great only think that is funny is when its warming up it sounds like it wants to shut off and it dont. the RPMs where at below 1 the whole time thats where it stays all time when its just siting in the driveway runing
When the O2 sensor goes, so does your gas mileage. Your car has been running very rich, and plugged the catalytic converter as well.
Change the O2 sensor and the catalytic converter.
I've believe if you change the O2 sensor and let it run for a while, any build up on the cat converter will go away.
Had it happen on a Chrysler I used to own.
The O2 sensor was bad for a couple of months and the cat converter was only 1 1/2 years old. In Ontario Canada, we have to do emmisions testing every 2 years on cars older than 3 years. After replacing the bad O2 sensor, my cat converter was functioning properly.

One that note ... I get that smell everyonce in a while when I turn my car off. From what I was told is that it is excess gas that was not burned. Is this true or not??

Nope....that would be the IAT sensor. Your O2 sensors are located in the exhaust manifold and another one behind the cat.
