I am new to the site and looking for some help. My 97 Z24 has the day time running lights(DTRL) and now they have stopped working and the day time lamp light on the dash keeps flashing like a turn signal...very annoying. When the headlights are on and I hit the brights the drivers side doesn't work but the bulb is good. I was told that there is a relay that controls the DTRL. Where is this relay located so that I can test it?? Thanks
I have the same exact problem on my '97 2.2. I'm guessing the DRL is bad, but I don't know yet. I'm assuming it is the small box attached to the bumber near the driver's side headlight.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here....

Other than that, if you have the DRL blinking on the dash you can always check the bulb by swapping it from 1 side to the other and see if the problem follows, and check the fuse under the hood for the headlight that does not work. If you have a bad headlight the DRL will blink to let you know.

Hit 200 NA it broke once, Hit 213 it broke again,
Hitting 300 NA is further away than I thought.
hey it says something about tech II from dealership being able to disable it?... i work at a dealership maybe they can do it for me ?
almost positive its a corroded wire in the harness below the battery. i'd be willing to bet its orange too.. check the connections and wires in that area...peel the tape off and pull the loom back and look at the lovely green stuff all over the wires and connections..
