would this be a spun bearing

first of its no knock or tick
but tonight i notice that when i accelerated the car would make a whining noise. if i put the clutch in it would go away and if i was stopped it would go away.
any ideas (it sounds like a whistle or something and i beleive its not a belt or waht not because it goes away when i use the clutch or am stopped)

Sounds like tranny input shaft bearing.

does it do it when the clutch pedal is out and you are in neutral, then disappears when you put the clutch to the floor? If so it could be the slave cylinder.
