i have a 99 Z24, sometimes at a light or when a crowd forms i rev my car up to show off the ehaust, i know it sounds dumb, but my car is in europe and they cant get enough of it. but it take soooooo long to come down to idle. what can i do to make the revs come down faster.
sorry, its a 2.4 automatic, but i will be doing the 5 speed isuzu swap......is that what makes the difference? Trannys?
How high are you reving it up? And Are you reving it up in park or in neutral?

the throttle cable may have some sort of obstruction or may be too tight I had a similar problem and it was easily fixed by loosening the cable. Other than that I guess it could be IAC sensor or TPS sensor.

Yes officer I knew the speed limit was 50
in Neutural.....sometimes when i go down a really steep long hill (3km), i would put it in neutural and coast down, at the bottom i would forget that its in neutural and hit the gas to go faster. the revs go well into 6000, and it takes so long to come down, but i dont think its the cable, it doesn't seem tight.
