I have a 96 cavi z24 its running very rich, when its idling it sounds like its about to run out of gas but the gas tank is full, and my exhaust smells like straight gasoline? and when i start to drive and shift gears all of my gauge panel lights come on ebrake, check engine, everything and my temp gauge comes on and goes offf, my rpm tach cuts on and off, my spedometer cuts on and off . even my lights seem dim? I dont have a clue whats wrong, If anyone has any idea please post a thread thanx , i really need to fix my car. any help greatly appreciated

Wow, the first thing that rings a bell with that is your ECU is near shot, either that or you are having a severe electrical problem that includes the fuel system and interior of your cavi.

What are your codes and data stream numbers? Have you recently changed any thing and maybe removed a ground and forgot to reconnect it?

ECU? PCM? nah... those never go. Never replace a PCM until you've checked everything on your car.

If its running too rich, your car should adjust for it, and if it cant, it'll throw a code. Sounds like something electrical is lose.
