i am having trouble attaching these two things together. the way i look at it, i have two options. i can either attach a 5/8" heater hose to a 1/2" heater hose, or a 5/8" heater hose to a 1/2" metal nipple (on an intake). does anyone have any idea how to do either of these?

i think he needs to get a heater hose from 1/2 to 5/8ths which isnt a big amount of space, get a plastic tube and clamp the sumna bitch.

^^^ ya that was my first idea, but ive looked and cant find anything.
Hey Canadian Jay.
Have a look at Canadian tire for a 1/2 " to 5/8" hose barb with the fitting attached that you can attach a garden hose to for flushing your coolant system.
It will come with clamps.
Than you will have a spot to enable flushing your engine which you should do every 2 years anyway.
get a 1/2" splice connector and clamp it together. it'll work even if one is 5/8"
Wherever you have a plumbing section at a hardware store, there are copper
reducers intended for application on water lines. ( A plumber uses solder to join,
you would simply clamp )
