hello guys and gals! i've recently started hearing a faint knock coming from the front of my car, towards the passenger area. possibly around the passenger wheel. i hear it when (a) i start to take off. it doesn't matter if i'm going straight, or turning. (b) if i put it in first or second (it's an auto) and i get going 30-40 and let off the gas so it starts decelerating, it'll do it. (c) if i then push the gas to go again, it'll do it again. (d) when i put the tranny from park to reverse, or drive, it does it. (it's not the same sound u here or small jerk u usually feel when putting your tranny in gear though)
it's almost like there's nothing in my glove box except for a marble, and when i push the gas it rolls back and hits the glove box door, and when i start slowing down, it rolls the other way and it's the back of the glove box compartment. but i've removed everything from my glove box and it still does...haha. so it's not that, but that's the kind of knock or click u hear.
any ideas??? possible broken motor mount maybe?

hmmm...maybe a mount...but honestly I dont know. I would like to hear more of what others have to say here, so email on.

I had that prob. I was missing a bolt on my engine mount. Probably wanna check it out.
well @!#$ me, i just started hearing the same thing the other day after i ordered my mounts. they should be here tomorrow, i sort of hope it is that and that it lasts through tomorrow afternoon.
Ant, I done as you said and went and checked for missing/loose bolts. and as i could tell, there was only one loose nut...the one that holds a plastic clip on that goes around an A/C hose. the nut was loose, and the plastic piece was broke. do you think that's what is causing the knocking sound i here? i don't have any tools on me at the moment to tighten it up, but hopefully it is just a loose bolt somewhere on the mount.

Does it have rhythm or is it just random?
well i can make it do it whenever i want, so it's not random. it just does it when putting the car in gear, taking off, and when slowing down
